gaze

We forget that the only sin of which we have to repent is looking away from God’s Gaze, for this Gaze is our equipoise of conversion. In that illumination we cannot but realise that all of us sin all the time. Only Jesus the Christ was able to gaze with the totality of being, for Jesus was God gazing at God out of our humanity. It is in us that the Christ gazes at the Father through the eyes of our heart...

No one but Christ can mediate for us, and Christ’s mediation is not between us and the Father but within us looking on the Father, writing the Name I WILL BE on our hearts in our solitude from which community is born. Each of us has the task of mediating in community the Love that bridges the abyss of our falling from being.

life shared

'A mother laughs
our laughter,
sheds out tears,
returns our love,
fears our fears,
she lives our joys.
cares our cares,
and all our hopes
and dreams
she shares.'

Words by a daughter

Mum

I adore you completely; you are my muse, my inspiration. You have been my home,
My encouragement, you loved and appreciated me.
Not only my gorgeous mum, my friend and soul sister too.
Collapsing in your bosom is complete unconditional love and warmth, and my mum had the finest bosoms for that.
I can’t believe you’re gone, just as we couldn’t believe that you were going so quickly.
Without you ill need a tattoo WWMD, What would mum do?
God has immeasurably blessed me giving me the greatest love of my life, and that is you. Mother Love.
As your breathless body lies here today, there are no lessons to be learnt, no silver lining,
Just Love for you Mum always and forever.
In this ceremony we all send you off – with our Love
Fly free to the place where the Lion lays down with the Lamb.
A Hundred more colours, flowers and trees for you to marvel at.
In the garden with the Saints, where a thousand years as is one day,
see you in a minute. x
